Accounting Assistant
Job Description:
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role

Strong Excel skills and general proficiency in accounting systems

Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Sage Intacct, or similar) is an advantage
-
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including accrual and cash-basis accounting
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoice processing, expense claims, and payment preparation
-
Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, collections, and receipt posting
-
Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
-
Prepare and post journal entries as required

Support month-end closing activities and basic financial reporting

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies
-
Provide administrative and ad hoc support to the Finance team as needed
